41st Chandigarh Rose Festival Glimpses

The 41st Chandigarh Rose Festival organized by the UT 

Administration was at full swing during 22nd and 24th February this year. The Rose Festival has always been a crowd puller since it was started.


Inaugurated by KK Sharma (IAS), Advisor to Administrator UT of Chandigarh, the three day Rose Fest was opened up at Rose Garden. Sec 16 and witnessed a variety of crowd, some were there to enjoy a leisurely stroll hand in hand with their counterparts among the scenic beauty of the Flowers of love  while others were die-hard inquisitive people searching and gathering information on variety of Roses.


Several took part in the routine competitions that are held every year like brass and pipes band, floral and floral hats making, Mr. and Ms. Rose and other competitions of folk dances.


The star of the show was the Chandigarh based Mehrotra family who won 10 prizes in the categories of flower arrangement.



Law and order were kept tight by the Chandigarh Police. And everything at the event was in its right place.



The fest was studded with ample number of stalls that kept the essence of the fest in delicious highs. As a fest sans feast is definitely not worth enjoying….Isn’t it?
